The scope of Article 105 is to address safety-related work practices which includes procedures for those employees who may be exposed to electrical hazards. The scope makes it clear that this Code applies to the workplace. The workplace can take many forms from the residential home to the heavy industrial facility.
2024 Changes
Minor change in the scope to begin with “This article” instead of “Chapter 1”. Added “the application of” and removed the words “the scope of this standard.”
Reason for change
The change in the second revision meeting was driven by the correlating committee comments to align with style manual requirements.
